Your child’s safety and well-being is our primary concern and it is vital that all parents feel confident they can leave their children in our care knowing that they are safe.

Nobody is allowed onto the setting premises that are unknown to us. We operate a secure and effective entry system, so we can perform a check on everyone who enters the setting.

We expect all our parents to specify who will regularly drop-off and collect their child. If any other person is to collect then we need to know in advance and the individual must provide proof of identity or secure password before being admitted.

Inside and outside the setting all play areas are safe and maintained.

There is large perimeter fencing, doors are locked and gates fully secured. All our play equipment is regularly checked for any breakages or faults.

I have in place the necessary Public Liability Insurance and Data Protection certification for use when I am childminding, together with thorough Fire, Emergency and Evacuation procedures. Any accidents or injuries (should they occur) are recorded in the injury/accident book. The nominated person collecting your child will be asked to countersign the book once they have been informed of the injury and any relevant treatment given.

Any incidents that arise are recorded in the incident book. These are issues that do not result in injury, but do pose a concern or potential risk. Where the incident is related to the behaviour of children, parents will be made aware of the incident and must countersign the record in the incident book.
