& Reliable Care!

Qualified Early Years Teacher

Professional, Reliable, Consistent & Highly Dependable!

My name is Michelle Crowther and I am a graduate qualified OFSTED registered childminder. I have been registered as a childminder since March 2004 and my present OFSTED Inspection Report rates my provision as 'Outstanding' in all areas which are: Meeting the Needs of Children; The Quality of Provision; Leadership & Management; Safeguarding; Outstanding Outcomes for Children's Learning, Development and Lifestyle.

As a member of the Leeds Quality Childminding Network I have 'Advanced' Childminder status, which enables me to provide government funded nursery education places. I also provide emergency childcare and overnight care. In July 2010 I completed my Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) assessment to enhance further my commitment to high quality childcare provision and as such I am now qualified as an Early Years Teacher.

The care that I provide is home-based and I have lived and worked in the picturesque village of Ledston, near Castleford for 15 years. I live with my two sons, Harry & James, together with my partner Andrew, who is also my registered childcare assistant.

When I became registered as a childminder it was my intention to provide a high quality and unique childcare service, which would be tailored to suit the individual needs of parents and children. Because I am registered to provide day-care and overnight care I can offer bespoke childcare setting hours which are designed to suit you and your family's requirements.

As a OFSTED registered childminder and mother of two children I believe that I have the appropriate experience and qualifications to provide quality childcare from birth onwards.

Both Andrew and myself hold graduate qualifications and have enhanced criminal record bureau checks under the Protection of Children's Act (1999). In addition we have both attended paediatric first aid training and currently hold Early Years Paediatric First Aid Certificates.

I regularly attend training and advice sessions with: Leeds City Council - Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership, and other OFSTED and government approved training events. 2011 was the Year of Communication and I was a lead practitioner for the Every Child a Talker programme (ECaT), so you can be sure that your child(ren) are receiving the best possible start to their language development whilst in my care.

In addition to my exhaustive training I have also completed the government recognised quality assurance scheme and qualified to provide Local Education Authority approved nursery care and education for 3 and 4 year olds, together with government funded 2 year old places.

As an Early Years Teacher I specialise in early childhood development and I am trained to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) from birth to the age of 5, the most critical stage of a child’s development.

Professionalism throughout all aspects of my business is paramount to success and I am aware that parents rely upon me to provide the best care possible for their children. To this end I can assure you that the service which I provide is both consistent and highly dependable giving you total peace-of-mind to meet your own personal and work commitments without worry.
